On the 12th February the Grand Master announced the formation of the King Athelstan Memorial Foundation.The Foundation is currently overseeing two projects:
- The presentation of a replica Saxon sword to the Athelstan Museum at Malmesbury, together with a short video of the making of the sword and its use in Saxon times.
- The presentation of an embroidered Tapestry depicting King Athelstan to All Saints Church in Kingston upon Thames as part of their Seven English Saxon Kings Project.
