On Tuesday, 10th October 2023, Provincial Grand Master RW.Bro. Lionel Mee and members of the Provincial Team visited the Installation Meeting of the Sword of Constantine Court No 120 at Croydon Masonic Hall. They were warmly welcomed by the Worshipful Master, W.Bro. George Roger, the Provincial Grand Almoner.
The Master-elect, Bro. Philipp Reutner ,was installed into the Chair of King Athelstan by W.Bro. Leslie Grout, a regular visitor at the Court, in an excellent manner and W.Bro. Phil was proclaimed as Master by the Provincial Grand Master with the traditional ‘waapen-take’.
The Worshipful Master then appointed the Officers he had chosen to assist him for his year as Master, and invested those who were present. The new Worshipful Master was congratulated by our Provincial Grand Master who wished him a successful and enjoyable year.
W&Em.Bro. Chris Eley then delivered a talk entitled ‘King Athelstan and Malmsbury’, which was well received by the Brethren.
After the business of the Court had been completed and photos taken…
…the Court was closed, and the Brethren of the Sword of Constantine Court and their guests sat down to a ham, eggs, and chips supper at the Croydon Masonic Hall.
