Another Candidate for The Rood at Sudtone Sari Court
On Wednesday the 4th of October, The Rood at Sudtone Sari Court received our Provincial Grand Master, R.W.Bro. Lionel Mee, GCAG, our Deputy Provincial Grand Master, V.W.Bro. Mark Donovan, KAG., and several Provincial Officers of the year.

The Court was opened by the Acting Worshipful Master, W.Bro. Satish Dhir, who then received the Provincial Grand Master and Provincial Officers of the year.

The Provincial Grand Master was offered the gavel which he accepted. He said how good it was to be in Sutton again and introduced the Provincial Officers who had accompanied him. He took the minutes and vacated the Chair.

Past Master W.Bro. David Morgan was elected as a Re-Joining member, and W.Bro. Alan Brockwell and W.Bro. Mike Doxsee, who is a member in the USA, were confirmed as Joining Members. All were welcomed as members of the Court by W Bro Satish Dhir.

Bro Raymond Powell was welcomed as a new member into the Order and he was duly Instructed by the Acting Master assisted by the Officers of the Court. W&Em.Bro. Chris Eley explained the Emblems of Mortality. Bro. Ray later said how much he had enjoyed the ceremony and thanked the brethren for the warm welcome he had received.

R.W.Bro. Lionel congratulated W & Em.Bro. Chris Eley and W.Bro. Reg Beldam on being appointed to Grand Rank, both of whom were present as part of the Provincial Team. He also thanked all the Provincial Officers who had accompanied him on the visit.

Bro. Jim Cranefield and W.Bro. Graham Hancock were declared as Master-elect and Treasurer-elect respectively for next year. Bro. Jim was unable to be present as he is recovering from major heart surgery, and the members wished him well for his return to full health very soon.

Twenty eight brethren later enjoyed a convivial festive board and departed in peace and harmony at 8.30pm.
