A very special installation took place on Thursday the 15th of December at Nutfield when our Provincial Grand Master was installed in the Chair of Kind Athelstan for the very first time. Present at this, the 15th Anniversary of the Archbishop Aethelhelm Court, were many Provincial Officers of the year and several guests who had come along to join in this special meeting.
The Court was opened by the Worshipful Master, W.Bro. Mark Elphick, who welcomed everyone and hope they would have an enjoyable afternoon and evening.
After the regular business of the Lodge was completed RW.Bro. Lionel Mee, KCAG, was installed into the Chair of King Athelstan by W.Bro. in a most sincere manner. W.Bro. Mark said it had been a great privilege to install our Provincial Grand Master.
The new Master was greeted with acclaim by the brethren present. He then appointed the Officers he has chosen to assist him for his year as Master and invested those who were present.
Afterwards the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, VW.Bro. Mark Donovan, KAG, PGSwdB, congratulated our Provincial Grand Master and wished him a most enjoyable year in the Chair of the Archbishop Aethelhelm Court.
After the Court was closed the brethren of the Archbishop Aethelhelm Court and their many guests enjoyed a most convivial meal honouring the usual Toasts.
