Firstly Brethren, I trust that you and your Families are all keeping safe and well.
You will all be aware that the Annual Assembly of Provincial Grand Court scheduled for Saturday, 4th April at Nutfield Masonic Centre has been postponed due to the Corona-virus situation which has already brought about huge changes in our daily lives, and we must continue to make every possible effort to keep ourselves and our families safe and well.
I know this postponement is an enormous disappointment for all of us, but especially to those whom I have appointed to, or promoted in, Provincial or Past Provincial Rank. The Brethren so honoured are entitled to use their new Ranks from Saturday, 4th April 2020 and I congratulate them all on their preferment and look forward to meeting and sharing in our Masonic activities again when circumstances permit. I thank all the outgoing Active Provincial Officers for their support and dedication during the past year.
At the time of the postponement almost 80 brethren many from other Provinces around England and Wales had registered to attend with 70 dining after the meeting.
During the past year we have welcomed ten new members into the order and our Membership now totals 230.
You will be kept informed of any developments so that we shall all be able to resume our Athelstan Masonry in due course and when it is safe to do so.
I wish all members, families and their friends well during this present crisis and let us hope that we all come through the coming months safely.
