In November Mark Donovan and I were invited by Bernard Marchant to the Annual Meeting of the District Grand Council of Sussex held at the Charmandean Centre in Worthing. There to greet us was Colin Stanley.
Tea and coffee was provided for all those who had travelled down to Sussex.
Soon it was time to get ourselves ready for the meeting.
The meeting was opened by the District Grand Master who welcomed the many guests and visitors. During the meeting the District Grand Master Obligated, Invested and Installed Ill.Comp. Kevin Gillespie, PGCondC, as the Deputy District Grand Master and Ill.Comp. Colin Dann as the District Grand Principal Conductor of the Work.
After the meeting the Companions of the Province of Sussex and their guests retired to the bar for refreshments.
We then sat down to a splendid meal in the dining room of the Charmandean Centre. Joining us for lunch was Paul Rose who is not yet in the Order. He received a special welcome from Bernard.
Thank you Bernard for a most enjoyable day.
