The Installation meeting of the Sword of Constantine Court No.120 was held at the Croydon Masonic Hall on Tuesday 8th October 2019. The Court was honoured with the presence of the Provincial Grand Master, RW.Bro. Lionel B Mee, KCAG, and the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, W.Bro. Mark P Donovan, KAG.
The Court was opened by the Worshipful Master, W.Bro. Terry Carpenter, who welcomed the Provincial Grand Master and the Deputy Provincial Grand Master wishing them both an enjoyable visit. The Provincial Grand Master was saluted with 7 under the direction of the Provincial Grand Marshal, W.Bro. Chris Eley, a member of the Court.
Next on the agenda was the installation of Bro. Glyn Harvey as Worshipful Master. The Worshipful Master invited W.Bro. Mark Donovan, Deputy Provincial Grand Master, to act as Senior Warden, W.Bro. Ian Clark, Past Provincial Junior Grand Warden, to act as Junior Warden and W.Bro. Justin Hollingsworth to act as Captain of Guards. W.Bro Terry invited W.Bro. Leslie Grout, Past Provincial Grand Banner Bearer, to conduct the Ceremony of Installation. Bro. Glyn Harvey was installed into the Chair of King Athelstan in an excellent manner by W.Bro. Leslie who did a splendid Traditional History of the Order.
The Brethren were then instructed to hail, greet and recognise our new Worshipful Master in the Chair of King Athelstan with acclamation by RW.Bro. Lionel Mee while W.Bro. Mark Donovan gave the Installation Address in a faultless manner.
The Provincial Grand Master congratulated W.Bro. Glyn on being installed into the Chair of King Athelstan and wished the new Worshipful Master a most enjoyable year. He said how well the Ceremony of Installation had been conducted by W.Bro. Leslie and the Officers of the Court.
The Provincial Grand Master was invited to present a Grand Court Certificate to Bro. Philipp Reutner, the Court Secretary. This was done in a most interesting and informative manner.
After the meeting the Brethren of The Sword of Constantine Court and their guests sat down to a most enjoyable meal at the Croydon Masonic Hall.
