The Court was opened at 5.00 pm by W Bro Andrew Fox, Worshipful Master, with many members and visitors in attendance at the Nutfield Masonic Centre.
The Court was opened at 5.00 pm by W Bro Andrew Fox, Worshipful Master, with many members and visitors in attendance at the Nutfield Masonic Centre.
The Worshipful Master received and welcomed VW. Bro. Michael Ellis, KSM, Deputy Provincial Grand Master, on his official visit to the Court. VW Bro Mike thanked the brethren for their warm welcome, and introduced the accompanying Provincial Officers.
A ballot was taken for Instruction into the Order for W.Bro. Alan Michael Hall, a member of Gatwick Lodge No 2502 and Surrey Arts and Sciences Chapter No 5310. This proved in his favour. Also present to be Instructed was W.Bro. Laurie Young, who was successfully balloted for at the previous meeting. Bros. Laurie and Alan were Instructed into the Order in an excellent manner by the Worshipful Master ably assisted by W.Bro. Leslie Grout and the Officers of the Court.
The Worshipful Master warmly welcomed Bros. Laurie and Alan into the Archbishop Æthelhelm Court and the VW Deputy Provincial Grand Master welcomed them into the Order and the Province of Sussex.
A guest, W.Bro. Chris Eley, acted as Senior Warden, a job he was delighted to do. W.Bro. Chris has known Laurie all his Masonic life and it was therefore a very special pleasure to invest him with his apron.
After the meeting the Brethren of the Archbishop Æthelhelm Court and their guests sat down to a most enjoyable meal at the Nutfield Masonic Centre.
The next meeting of the Court will be on Thursday 20th December 2018 when Bro. Derek Williamson will be Installed as Worshipful Master.
