The meeting was opened by Presiding Officer, RW.Bro. Roy William Leavers Assistant Grand Master who was warmly received and welcomed by the Brethren and saluted in accordance with ancient custom. He appointed his Team of Assisting Grand Officers led by VW.Bro. John Evans, Grand Marshal which also included VW.Bro. Michael Ellis, Deputy Provincial Grand Master, Installing Officer and other Grand Officers of the year. RW.Bro. Roy then invited RW.Bro. Lionel Mee to take the Chair as Consecrating Officer.

The Ceremony was conducted by RW.Bro. Lionel in a confident and sincere manner with great dignity that was very much enjoyed by all those who attended.

W.Bro. Martin Smith was installed as Primus Master by VW.Bro. Michael Ellis. The Worshipful Master then invested W.Bro. Roger Short as the first Secretary of the court and invested those of the Founders who were nominated as First Officers of the Court.

The Worshipful Master W.Bro. Martin Smith thanked RW.Bro. Roy Leavers, Presiding Officer, for his attendance, and also thanked RW.Bro. Lionel Mee, Consecrating Officer and members of the Grand Team for the excellent ceremony that had been thoroughly enjoyed by all the brethren. He particularly thanked Grand Marshal VW.Bro. John Evans for his superb contribution to the ceremony.

The Grand Master, MW.Bro. Paul Weldon Johnston, was unable to attend as he was prevented from travelling from his home in the North of England by the adverse weather conditions and he sent his greetings and best wishes for a successful meeting. Several other brethren from elsewhere around the country were also unable to join us on this very special occasion and they too sent their best wishes.

The enthusiasm shown by the Master and Founders is very clear and we wish them well in their endeavours of developing and expanding the membership.

A total of almost 60 brethren were in attendance on this very special occasion, 55 of whom later enjoyed an excellent and convivial luncheon at the Festive Board.

The next regular meeting of this new Court will be at the Masonic Hall in Twickenham on Wednesday, 18th April 2018, when they will be instructing TWO candidates into the Order.
