The meeting at the Ferring Village Hall was opened at 6.00pm on Monday, 6th November 2017, with the Worshipful Master, W Bro Reginald Beldam presiding. W Bro Reg welcomed R W Bro Lionel Mee, KSM, Provincial Grand Master on his Annual Visit to the Court, who was accompanied by 12 of the Provincial Officers of the year. He also welcomed all the members and other visitors; a total of 27 brethren were in attendance at the meeting.
The main item on the Agenda was for W Bro Reg to install his successor Bro Colin John Stanley as Master for the ensuing year. This ceremony was carried out in an excellent manner following which W Bro Colin appointed and invested his team of officers for the coming year.
R W Bro Lionel in congratulating the new Worshipful Master and his Officers on their appointments wished them a happy year ahead; he also thanked his Provincial Team for their attendance and support by accompanying him on the visit.
A talk entitled "The Saxons in Sussex” was given by W Bro Derek Oliver PPJGW which was much enjoyed by the brethren.
After the meeting 25 members and visitors enjoyed an excellent meal at the festive board with the brethren departing in peace and harmony at 8.30pm.
The next meeting of the Court will be on Monday 5th February 2018.
