Tenth Anniversary Celebration Dinner & Dance
Saturday, 10th June 2017 at the Chichester Park Hotel will be remembered for a long time by all those members of the Order and their Guests who attended a Dinner & Dance to Celebrate the Tenth Anniversary of the founding of the Masonic Order of Athelstan in the Province of Sussex.

R W Bro Lionel Mee, Provincial Grand Master, accompanied by his wife Dee presided over the event which was attended by a total of 72 members of the Order and their Guests – all of whom thoroughly enjoyed the occasion. W Bro Mike Ellis, Deputy Provincial Grand Master accompanied by his wife Jo and family members also attended.
The evening began with a pre-dinner Drinks Reception during which Kate Henwood a local Photographer, took formal photographs of many of the Members and Guests. The reception was followed by an excellent meal enjoyed by all. After the dinner, R W Bro Lionel addressed those present with a very brief history of the founding of the Order in Sussex and the current status of the Province. He thanked the “Worthing Barber-Shop Duo”, W Bros Ross & Lee Everett, for their dedication in organising the venue, the excellent meal and the entertainment. Thanks also to Bro Chris Eley for taking photos throughout the evening.
The entertainment included a vocal performance by W Bro Lee himself and some of his Thespian and Musical Associates. Richard Radcliffe, a West End singer and entertainer, sang a number of well known popular songs by artistes such as Bobby Darin. He then delivered a superb impression of Dame Edna Everage which was very much enjoyed by all. W Bro Lee delighted the assembled throng with an excellent and highly polished vocal performance of a number of songs made popular by Frank Sinatra and like performers.
The Table Flower arrangements and the Bouquets presented to Dee, Lesley & Charlotte Everett were donated by Maria’s Florist of Worthing. A number of generous monetary donations were received from members and guests, some of whom were unable to attend, and enabled us to present the sum of £500 to St Barnabas Hospice in Worthing.
All in all, it was an extremely successful and enjoyable evening that will be long remembered by those attending.
