Instruction Ceremony for the court of the South Saxons
The Court of the South Saxons held their first meeting for 2016 on Monday 1st February. Not only did they have a worthy candidate in the form of Bro Peter Brooks but this was the first official visit from our new Deputy Provincial Grand Master in Charge, W Bro Lionel Mee.
W Bro Mee was accompanied by members of his Provincial team and was Escorted into the Court by W bro Mark Donovan.
After being welcomed by the WM, W bro Mee took the chair of King Athelstan for the minutes of the Court.
This was the first time that the Court had conducted the new ritual to a 'Live' Candidate, and carried it out in an expedient mannor.
After the meeting a festive board was enjoyed, home made chicken and bacon pie with roast potato and vegetables, Trifle or cheese board followed by coffee and mints... and all for £12.00!
As like all the Courts in Sussex, if you have not yet been to visit a particular Court I strongly advise you to pay them a visit, make new acquaintances and lasting friendships.
