Court of Harrow Way No 88
The Court of Harrow Way held their Regular Meeting at Guilford Masonic Centre on Tuesday 27th May 2014 at South West Surrey Masonic Centre, Guildford. Unfortunately the Worshipful Master, W Bro Robert Shepherd, was unable to be present having recently had a fall which had resulted in his inability to walk.
The Chair was assumed by W Bro Peter McCarthy, Provincial Grand Secretary, and after a successful ballot W Bro Leonard G Hayward, a member of both Archbishop Aethelhelm Court No 34 and Coronation Stone Court No 50 was welcomed as a Joining Member.
At the meeting the attention of all present was drawn to the recently purchased and duly authorised ‘Instruction Board’, which had been designed and made W Bro Alan Trotter. All present thought that the ‘Instruction Board’ was a most welcome replacement to the ‘Flip Charts’ that had previously been used during the ceremony of Instruction. At future Instruction ceremonies the addition of the Board will greatly enhance the ceremony.
The Worshipful Master led a very active and interesting discussion on events taking place in the Province and encouraged members to air their views on the new Provincial Website via the Court Secretary.
The Treasurer reported that the Court’s finances were in a healthy condition and to the delight of the members announced that there would be no increase in subscriptions this year. It is expected that the Court would have 2 new candidates for Instruction in the coming months.
After the Meeting was closed the members retired to enjoy a most substantial and excellent curry supper.
